Child rape monster who asked victim if attack was 'nice' as he abused them is caged 25 AUG 2016 ELWYN ROBERTS
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier was arrested Wednesday in connection with a 2014 rape case.
Justin Perry Lewis, 27, of Fort Bragg, was charged with first-degree rape of a child, indecent liberties with a child and sexual activity by a substitute parent.
Authorities said the charges stem from an incident that occurred in the summer of 2014.
Lewis was already in the custody of the Cumberland County Detention Center for charges of indecent liberties with a child that were filed in June. He was being held under $900,000 secured bond.
Anybody with information is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-723-2878 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
Santana Cartwright was convicted of two counts of child rape in 2005.
His victims were a young girl he preyed on several times, and two boys — ages 7 and 9.
Now, he’s wanted for failing to register as a sex offender. “The law requires that they register and each jurisdiction is required to keep tabs on them, so if they don`t register and they move and they don`t tell us or they`re trying to hide and they`re playing the transient game, then we`re not able to track and monitor them like the law requires us to,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer.”
Santana Cartwright is 30 years old, 5’6” and weighs 225 pounds.
He has a scar from a dog bite on his left hand.
