Jailed for 13 years after keeping the videos of the vicious assaults on his iPhone with some women not realising they had been raped until police told them
A pervert who filmed himself raping unconscious women after drugging them has been jailed for 13 years.
Romeo Cummins, 46, carried out a “campaign of rape” and sexual assault on five women by slipping them powerful sedatives - including one in a cup of tea.
He was only caught because he kept videos of the attacks on his iPhone. The victims knew nothing of the assaults until police interviewed them after arresting Cummins for other offences.
Winchester crown court, Hants, heard how one victim who was slipped drugs in a cup of tea said she felt sleepy before passing out and waking around 12 hours later.
She had no recollection that she had been raped.
Videos of the sex attacks were found on an iPhone after police stopped Cummins, of Basingstoke, Hants, in his car in Aldershot, Hants, and arrested him on drug offences.
In a victim impact statement, one woman said: “I have not been able to sleep properly for some time. When I do, I have mad and scary dreams of him setting up video cameras before he drugs me and rapes me.”
