CHILLICOTHE - A 22-year-old pleaded guilty in a child rape case this week.
Kyle S. Pariscoff pleaded guilty on Monday to two counts of rape - one each oral and digital - of a 12-year-old girl he knew as part of a plea agreement with prosecution. Pariscoff was indicted on the charges in May and served the indictment in August. His trial had been slated to start Tuesday.
In exchange for Pariscoff's guilty plea and at the encouragement of the girl's family, Ross County Assistant Prosecutor Cynthia Schumaker said she will recommend a cumulative sentence of 10 years to life to be served after his sentence in an unrelated Kentucky case. His sentencing was scheduled for March 9.
A California football player who had already been convicted of rape while he was in high school has been arrested yet again after raping a 19-year-old woman.
Kishawn Holmes, 21, who was a standout football player and student at Cerritos College near Los Angeles, was taken into custody on suspicion of rape and sexual assault.
The incident occurred last September at the home of his physical therapist.
Sheriff's Sgt. Marvin Jaramilla said the victim also attended the same college as Holmes and that as a physical therapist the woman has provided services to some of the football players and other athletes at the school.
Holmes has been charged with two counts of forcible rape, according to the criminal complaint.
In 2014 Holmes was convicted of rape by force or fear; two counts of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under the age of 14; three counts of false imprisonment; and one count of dissuading a witness who was one of the alleged rape victims.
At the time, he was sentenced to a year in jail and spent some time at a juvenile facility.
On the most recent charges, Holmes pleaded not guilty but is being held at North County Correctional Facility in Castaic on $2 million bail based on the incident and his past history.
When he was at school, Holmes was a star running back and his Facebook account was littered with photographs of himself playing football and status updates about games and training.
One photograph even showed him posing with Snoop Dogg at a game in February 2013.
He said the rapper and football fan nicknamed him 'Sweet Feet' and the nickname has remained with him.
Holmes recently posted on Twitter that he was 'blessed' to received a scholarship from Akron University in November, and another from Virginia Union University earlier this month.
He also discussed recent struggles and accomplishments in his life.
'I was homeless house 2 house the last 3-games of the season & maintained over a 3.0 & produced an ALL-AMERICAN season real,' he tweeted last month along with a collage of video clips of himself.

A 21-year-old Tukwila man was booked into jail Thursday morning on investigation of rape, assault and indecent liberties, accused of beating and possibly sexually assaulting a woman in White Center. The 55-year-old victim is in critical condition.
A 55-year-old woman was brutally beaten and possibly raped early Thursday in White Center, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
A witness called 911 at 2:20 a.m. Thursday and reported seeing a woman being beaten in the 9600 block of 15th Avenue Southwest, Sgt. Cindi West wrote in a news release. A man was then seen running away.
When deputies arrived, they found the woman suffering from severe injuries to her head and body and evidence at the scene indicated she may have been sexually assaulted, according to West. The woman, who may be transient or homeless, was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition late Thursday afternoon, the news release says.
Deputies searched the area and arrested a Tukwila man, 21, four blocks away, at Southwest 102nd Street and 15th Avenue Southwest, the release says. He had blood on his shoes and the soles of his shoes matched bloody shoe prints found at the scene, according to the news release.
The man was booked into the King County Jail on investigation of rape, assault and indecent liberties, according to the release and jail records. He is expected to make his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
According to West, it is unknown whether the woman knew her assailant.
EASTHAMPTON - A man from Easthampton is facing child rape charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, according to the Daily Hampshire Gazette.
22-year-old Jonathan F. Buri faces a long list of charges stemming from an incident in February, including two counts of statutory child rape, indecent assault and battery on a child younger than 13, performing an unnatural act with a child younger than 16, and furnishing alcohol to someone younger than 21.
Buri pleaded not guilty to all of the charges in Northampton District Court on Tuesday.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on February 13, during which a police officer discovered Buri together with an undressed 13-year-old girl in the backseat of his car. The girl, who has not been identified due to her age, had been reported missing earlier in the evening by her mother. When asked by the officer what she and Buri had been doing together, the girl said "having sex."
A police report alleges that Buri picked the girl up from the Maple Street School and that the two drove around town together, during which time the girl consumed both alcohol and marijuana.
Buri later told police that he had met the girl using an online dating app and that she had misrepresented herself as being 18-years-old.
In a separate interview, the girl also told police that she had not provided Buri with her correct age.
Buri is scheduled to appear again in court on April 7.
