Porn Addicted Rapists 40

CANANDAIGUA — A Hopewell man, already serving a prison sentence for being convicted of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl, pleaded guilty to child pornography charges on Monday in Ontario County Court.

Clement Hill, 31, decided to take a plea deal, offered by the Ontario County District Attorney's Office, moments before a trial jury was to be selected to hear his case.

Hill, in the midst of a seven-year prison term after being found guilty almost a year ago of two counts of first-degree sex abuse, a class D felony, will be sentenced to an additional five-years behind bars in June for the latest child pornography charges.

Had the case gone to trial, Hill could have received a sentence that included up to 35 years behind bars if convicted, according to Ontario County First Assistant District Attorney Jim Ritts.

Ontario County sheriff's deputies initially charged Hill in August 2015, for having sexual contact with the 10-year-old victim. As that case developed in Ontario County Court, Hill was again arrested in March 2016, this time by state police. State police, who had executed a search warrant, discovered that Hill had procured child pornography.

That portion of the case against Hill developed early in 2015, when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received information that suggested child pornography was being downloaded in the area of Crimson King Drive in Hopewell — the area where Hill resided. The discovery led to members of the FBI raiding the Crimson King Drive home.

"The FBI went in and took all of these people's equipment, but it turned out that there was nothing on the equipment," said Ontario County First Assistant District Attorney Jim Ritts.

State Police Investigator Mark Eifert further investigated the case, finding evidence that tied the illegal material to an email account titled "clem.hill@aol.com."

The investigation determined that the operator of that account had been downloading the child pornography by using the unsecured wireless network of the Crimson King Drive home raided by investigators.

The case was helped on April 10, 2015, when the clem.hill@aol.com account was accessed through the wireless network at Thompson Hospital. Hill was receiving treatment at the facility at the time.

Ritts gave credit to Eifert for pursuing the case even after federal investigators walked away from the case.

"(Inv. Eifert), to his credit, wasn't letting sleeping dogs lie," Ritts said.

The District Attorney's Office offered Hill, represented by defense attorney Aaron Sperano, a 15-year prison sentence in exchange for a guilty plea when the child pornography was found. That guilty plea would have satisfied the predatory sexual assault and sex abuse charges Hill was facing for abusing the 10-year-old girl, as well as the child pornography charges. However, Hill rejected the plea deal, and proceeded with a trial.

In April 2016, a jury cleared Hill of the predatory sexual assault charge, a crime that carries with it a potential sentence of 25 years to life behind bars. That trial, which included the powerful testimony from the young victim, who took the stand, did result in Hill being convicted of two counts of first-degree sex abuse.

In addition to the total 12 years behind bars Hill now faces, the Hopewell resident will also be sentenced to serve 10 years of post-release supervision by State Supreme Court Justice Craig Doran in Ontario County Court on June 26.

Joseph Spradlin, 41, of Cape Coral, has been sentenced in U.S. District Court to 30 years in prison in a child pornography case.
According to the plea agreement, after downloading child pornography directly from Spradlin’s computer over a peer-to-peer network, members of the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force executed a search warrant at the Cape Coral man's residence. The agents located more than 65,000 images and 668 videos of child pornography on four thumb drives.
Further investigation revealed that Spradlin had produced child pornography images and videos of an 8-year-old girl on at least two occasions.
This case was investigated by the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, with assistance from the Cape Coral Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.  Project Safe Childhood uses federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims. A Lauderdale County grand jury has indicted a Florence man with thousands of child pornography charges after a three-month Florence Police investigation.
48-year-old Jeffery Dale Hunt is facing 1,996 counts of Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography and 295 counts of Unlawful Production of Child Pornography.
Florence Police say several of the children in the pornographic materials are from the local area, and all of the victims are under 12. Police said some of the pictures Hunt downloaded from the internet were pornographic images of infants.
Investigators say Hunt was producing the material at his home, and he victimized at least three local kids. Police said he was close family friends with the victims he took pictures of.
"You have to keep your babies close," said Florence Police Detective, Drew Harless. "This was a guy they knew and trusted. It can happen anywhere anytime."
Harless was the lead detective on the case. He said they were able to get a cyber tip that cracked this case open through their partnership with Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force with the state.
Florence Police said they have conducted several child pornography investigations in the past six months.

A 42-year-old Columbia man was found guilty in federal court Thursday for producing child pornography, receiving child pornography and transferring obscene materials to a minor.

Authorities began investigating Jayme Walker on June 13, 2014 when the teenage victim's parents turned over a laptop, two cell phones and an iPod to Illinois State Police. Walker was reportedly texting and exchanging pornographic pictures and videos with the teen boy.

Investigators found 77 images and six videos exchanged between Walker and the child victim.

The teen boy told investigators he never met Walker in person, although they talked about meeting several times. He said he told Walker his true age.

The jury deliberated for about an hour and a half Thursday before finding Walker guilty of the charges.

Under federal statute Walker faces a minimum of 15 years in federal prison without parole.

MIDDLETOWN A 56-year-old township man was charged with rape of a child and related child-sex offenses - three months after he was arrested by Delaware County authorities on multiple unrelated child-pornography and related child-sex offenses.
Michael Valenti, a former county prison guard who resides in the 100 block of Glen Riddle Road, is currently awaiting trial on separate charges of manufacturing and attempting to manufacture child pornography following his December 2016 arrest, according to authorities and online court records.
Valenti remains jailed at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility in lieu of bail, which in both cases totals $550,000, according to online court records.
The latest case, according to the probable cause affidavit written by Detective Edmond Pisani Jr. of the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division and the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, involves a 5-year-old girl who told her mother that she played a “secret” game with the defendant.
Pisani received information on March 29, 2017, from a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper regarding a Delaware County Children and Youth Services report involving the accusations.
According to the report, “The child victim told her mother that she cannot tell anyone about the secret game.” The mother told authorities that her daughter was in Valenti’s company prior to his arrest on Dec. 29, 2016, on charges related to the sexual abuse of children.
The affidavit does not indicate when the alleged offenses involving the 5-year-old girl occurred, only that the victim’s mother noticed a difference in her daughter’s behavior about a year ago. The child stopped liking school and became aggressive toward other children, the mother told authorities she when was interviewed in March of this year.
When detectives interviewed the child on March 30, the young girl reiterated details regarding the “secret” game, and also provided drawings about the game, the affidavit states. The pictures included a version of male genitalia. The child also said Valenti used his tongue to touch her, according to allegations.
According to online court records, Valenti’s bail in the latest case was set at $500,000 cash, and his preliminary hearing is listed for April 11 before Magisterial District Judge Walter “Sonny” Strohl. In addition to rape of a child, charges filed Friday include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor involving sexual offenses, corruption of a minor, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and indecent exposure.
Meanwhile, Valenti has a pre-trial conference scheduled Monday, April 3, on charges in the December arrest. In that case, he’s charged with multiple counts of attempting to photograph, film or depict a sex act involving a child on a computer, invasion of privacy, possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility. His bail, in that case, was set at 10 percent of $500,000.
It was not immediately known if Valenti retained an attorney on the latest offenses. His attorney for the initial case, a Delaware County assistant public defender, could not be reached for comment after business hours Friday.

GRAND RAPIDS — A Union City man was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.
Erin Mal Killey, 30, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Paul L. Maloney on charges of production, distribution and possession of child pornography.
Killey pleaded guilty in October 2016.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexis Sanford, who prosecuted the case, alleged that Killey took sexually explicit photographs of a 7-year-old girl he was babysitting and then emailed them to an undercover law enforcement agent. He also sent the agent other images from a collection of child pornography.
Killey also admitted he molested the child he photographed.
“As demonstrated in this investigation, the sexual exploitation of children is sadly often perpetrated by those considered to be responsible adults in their lives,"  said David P. Gelios, special agent in charge at the Detroit Division of the FBI.
Acting U.S. Attorney Andrew Birge said “It is crucial that we protect society’s most vulnerable members from sexual exploitation and ensure swift and certain punishment for those predators who would exploit children."
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide program designed to protect children from exploitation and abuse.
Killey was investigated by the FBI and the Union City Police Department. The Branch County Prosecutor's Office referred the case to the U.S. Attorney for prosecution.

A Winnipeg man facing charges of possessing and making child pornography had his bail revoked after a video involving sexual acts on a six-year-old child was livestreamed on the Internet.
The video shows an unidentified American suspect assaulting the child, who was in his care. The suspect was being directed to commit various sex acts on the child by the Winnipeg man, police said Thursday.
Greg Alan Jamieson, 45, was first identified in mid-2016 by the National Centre for Missing Exploited Children in Virginia about child-porn images linked to a Winnipeg IP address.
Police searched a house in St. James last November and found images of abuse involving victims as young as eight months old.
Jamieson was charged and released on bail.
The Winnipeg Police Service Internet child-exploitation unit continued the investigation and turned up a communication with the American suspect via an instant-messaging and livestreaming app.
Jamieson faces numerous additional charges of possessing and making child pornography, sexual interference and child exploitation.
Winnipeg police are working with American authorities, including the United States Department of Homeland Security, to identify and track down the American suspect and victim involved in the video.
